NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RUSSELL

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Russell passed By-law No. 2018-094 on the 5th day of July 2018 under Section 34 of the Planning Act.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Russell passed By-law # 2018-094 on the 5th day of July 2018 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter p.13, as amended.

AND TAKE NOTICE not later than the 1st day of August 2018that any person or public body may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Russell , a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the reasons in support of the objection. The appeal must be accompanied by the fee of $300 required by the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and must be payable to the Minister of Finance of Ontario. Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

That the Zoning Regulations, Provisions and Schedules applicable for the Township of Russell as a whole are hereby adopted pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, and may be cited as the Township of Russell Zoning By-Law.
